Biography

Dr Attia is an Egyptian Neurosurgeon trained in Tanta University, Egypt; Shinshu University, Japan; Tokyo Women’s Medical University, Japan; and Medical College of Georgia, USA. From 1997 to 2000, he had a major role in modernizing spine surgery section at Tanta University- his home University- and established neurosurgery department at AlGalaa Hospital, Ministry of Defense, and Cairo, Egypt. He moved to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2008 to hold a joint appointment as Neurological and Spine Surgery consultant. He Initiated and directed the spine fellowship program at the National Neuroscience Institute, KSA. He has over 1000 cases of computer-assisted spine surgery. He was invited as a lecturer and session chair by many International Spine Societies. He is a reviewer at many Spine interested journals. His main academic interests include Complex spine surgery, revisions spine surgery, and computer-assisted spine surgery
